First, it's tragic the rapid loss of life, of friends and family, many of us are experiencing. This global crisis uniquely impacts everyone, and it's deeply troubling. But I'm also encouraged by recent conversations with clients. It is striking how many of them want to keep their businesses on track and operate as close as is possible to normal. We work very closely with FP&A teams who are working around the clock to help executives make the critical decisions they need to under such extreme circumstances.
There are many other analytics, finance, sales, HR, and operational teams we support, and we can help, but in this post, we're focusing on FP&A teams. Right now, their unique skills and the strategic insight they create is in high demand by CEOs and CFOs trying to manage in such unprecedented times. FP&A teams will play a crucial role in helping finance leaders guide their company in the coming weeks and months. CFOs will need agility and adaptability more than ever to respond to unexpected daily changes.
We are likely to be operating in a mode of constant re-forecasting for many months ahead. When this is all over, finance teams will want to make sure if such an event happens again, and many say it will, they are ready to respond and act. Let's be clear; future operating models will change, the competitive landscape will be different, and remodelling, re-forecasting and adjusting financial plans will be an on-going task.
We gathered our consulting team and asked them this question:
"If you were working with a customer right now, what should we be doing to help them?"
How can we help CFOs and FP&A teams today?
There several ways we can help, and we will lay these out in more details over the coming days and weeks, but here are two specific areas we believe may add immediate value:
Flexible Support and Key Person Backup
Many of our clients have a key person dependency and finance systems with several manual steps such as file loads, data integrations and other operational necessities such as refreshes, backups etc., that revolve around one or two key individuals.
We can help by providing flexible, on-demand resources that are knowledgeable in finance system operations. We can reduce resource pinch-points and provide run-time assurances to keep systems operating optimally 24/5.
We are happy to work immediately with clients who don't have contracts with Qubix on a pay-as-you-use model, or short-term SLA backed service arrangements.
If you'd like to find out more about flexible support options, please get in touch here: Support & Resourcing Help.
