Baxters reduced time to forecast from three weeks to two days with Planning & Budgeting Cloud.


Baxters is a Scottish food processing company with seven manufacturing sites across five continents and currently employs over 1,500 people. The company has experienced phenomenal growth in the last few years with ten acquisitions and $500m in annual turnover with future growth plans to reach $1bn within the next ten years. Baxters produces foods such as canned soups, canned meat products, sour picks, sauces, vinegars, anti-pasti, chutneys, fruit preserves and salad and meat condiments. Their diverse customers include world-renowned retailers selling high-profile brands in multiple global markets.


Baxter's approached Qubix to help them modernize their financial planning, forecasting, reporting and analytics. Being heavily reliant on spreadsheets for these processes, Baxter's finance team were losing valuable time in mundane tasks such as data gathering, spreadsheet consolidation and report preparation. This lead to a group budget-cycle process which took up to 3 months and a lack of insight in to the business. Qubix identified key initiatives which could dramatically decrease the time spent on forecasting, increase insight across the business and help finance work more efficiently.
