Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Trust takes control of their Budgeting & Forecasting and makes better decisions with Oracle Planning Cloud.
Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Trust employ around 6,000 staff who deliver compassionate care from their two hospitals, Calderdale Royal Hospital, and Huddersfield Royal Infirmary as well as in community sites, health-centres, and patients’ homes.
Foundation trusts provide the core health services needed for their community but are also free to invest quickly in response to the challenges they face in striving to deliver the best possible patient outcomes.
Calderdale and Huddersfield Trust was under pressure to deliver more detailed and accurate reporting to NHSi, but also found it cumbersome, time-consuming and extremely challenging to budget and forecast due to spreadsheet laden processes. Different divisions would budget at different granularity and using different assumptions making consolidating budgets and consistent reporting a challenge.
"We can now report at a plan, actual and forecast level which drives better insight. We also now have a significantly streamlined business planning and budgeting process, which saves significant time. "
"Working with our partner Qubix, we have delivered a seamless and automated integration between Oracle PBCS and Oracle Fusion Financials using Qubix CloudBridge. This streamlines the flow of actuals and forecast data, as well as simplified meta-data management."
Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Trust moved away from a very challenging spreadsheet-driven budgeting and reporting process to Oracle Planning and Budgeting Cloud & the Qubix NHS Planning Template. The Qubix Planning Template replaced the spreadsheet chaos and immediately delivered benefit in their budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes with significantly improved integration with their source systems.
Leading Oracle Platinum Partner, The Qubix Group (Qubix) in collaboration with NEP delivered the Qubix NHS Planning Template powered by Oracle Planning Cloud in a matter of weeks.
“You can very easily see what has changed and drill down into anomalies quickly. It's quick to compare prior forecast with actuals or plan, which makes it easier to explain differences."
